Roasted Chicken in Sweet and Spicey Sauce

Ingredients:
  • whole chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate syrup
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoons sweet or smoked paprika
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoons mustard
  • 3 stars of anise


Mix all the ingredients (except for the chicken) in a large bowl. rub the chicken parts with it and leave it for a few hours, or overnight in a fridge. 



Heat the oven for a medium heat.
Take a piece of aluminum foil, twice the size of the baking dish. Put the chicken in the middle of it and fold the foil in two. Fold the edges, so you'll get a sealed envelope. Put it in the oven for an hour and a half.



When almost done, carefully open the envelope and put back in the oven, without covering. To get a better looking dish turn the heat to maximum and wait until it gets a nice color. Serve hot, with the gravy.
